Move Clips In A Sequence
After adding clips to your sequence, you’ll likely want to rearrange them as you develop your project.
Here are two of the most common methods:
- Drag and drop: Select the clip(s) you want to move and then drag them to the new location in the Timeline Panel.
- Use the Cut and Paste commands: To do this, first select the clip(s) you want to move. Then, click Edit > Cut (or press Ctrl+X on Windows or Command+X on Mac). Next, go to the location where you want to move the clip(s) and click Edit > Paste (or press Ctrl+V on Windows or Command+V on Mac).
Here are some additional tips for moving clips in sequences in Premiere Pro:
- You can also use the Track Select tool to select clips on multiple tracks. To do this, click the Track Select tool in the Timeline Panel and then drag a box around the clips you want to select.
- You can also use the Command/Ctrl key to select multiple clips that are not next to each other.
- You can use the Shift key to select a range of clips. For example, if you want to select all of the clips between two specific clips, you can select the first clip, hold down the Shift key, and then select the second clip.
- You can use the Edit menu to access other move options, such as Move Tracks and Move All Tracks.
