Build A Sequence

Most of the creative work in Premiere Pro happens when you build a sequence of clips that play, one after another. You’ll need to create a sequence before you can add clips to it.

To build a sequence in Premiere Pro, you can use the following steps:

  1. Open Premiere Pro.
  2. In the Project Panel, select the media files you want to include in your sequence.
  3. Drag and drop the media files into the Timeline Panel.
  4. The media files will be added to the Timeline Panel as clips.
  5. To add a transition between two clips, drag and drop a transition from the Effects Panel onto the Timeline Panel between the two clips.
  6. To add a title to your sequence, click the Titler button in the upper-right corner of the Timeline Panel.
  7. Type your title in the Titler window.
  8. To add an effect to a clip, drag and drop an effect from the Effects Panel onto the clip in the Timeline Panel.
  9. To adjust the duration of a clip, drag the end or beginning of the clip in the Timeline Panel.
  10. To export your sequence, click the Export button in the upper-right corner of the Timeline Panel.
