How to adjust the camera’s IR sensor in Hikvision

Adjusting the IR sensor on a Hikvision camera involves adjusting the camera’s settings to optimize the infrared illumination for the specific environment. Here are the steps to adjust the IR sensor in Hikvision:

  1. Log in to the camera’s web interface using the admin account.

  1. Click on the “Configuration” tab and select “Image” from the left-hand menu.

  1. Under the “Image” menu, click on “Exposure” and then “IR” to access the IR settings.
  2. Adjust the “IR Distance” and “IR Intensity” settings to your desired level. The “IR Distance” setting determines how far the IR illumination will reach, while the “IR Intensity” setting adjusts the brightness of the IR illumination.
  3. Use the camera’s live view to observe the changes in the IR illumination and make any further adjustments if necessary.
  4. Save the changes by clicking on the “Save” button.

Note: It is important to remember that the IR sensor’s range and effectiveness can be affected by various factors such as ambient light, weather conditions, and the camera’s position. Therefore, it may take some trial and error to find the optimal settings for your specific environment.
