Fundamental Background Modeling Technology
Background modeling technology creates static background model in the monitoring area and in the same time detects and records the moving objects. it will trigger the alarm if moving object reach alarm threshold.
This technology has a set of different rules such as entering, leaving, appearing and disappearing. Actually we have a diverse functions for cameras for example, line crossing detection, region entrance detection, region exiting detection and intrusion detection. let’s discuss all these functions of camera one by one. The first one is line crossing in the monitoring area,
Line crossing detection is detected by the area where the object crosses the line. By default, if the object crosses the line 50% . It will trigger the alarm but it can be customize as per requirement.
1: When an object enters a precise area, it trigger the alarm due to region entrance detection.
2: Region exiting detection occurs, when an object exist the reigned area of detection.
3: Intrusion detection occurs when an object enters region detection area and remain there for a while.
Installation
- The height of the target should be less than 1/3 of the image and bigger than 1/15 of the image.
- With the video resolution as CIF, the object pixel has to be between 5X5 and 100X100
- It is recommended to install the camera in the scenario where there is no strong backlight to ensure the accuracy.
Configuration Line Crossing Detection
Direction
- A -> B: Targets that are moving from A To B will trigger alarm.
- B -> A: Targets that are moving from B To A will trigger alarm.
- A <-> B: Targets that are moving between A To B will trigger alarm.
Sensitivity
It stands for the percentage of the body part of an acceptable target that goes across the pre defined line.
